When Éric Le Sage likes a composer, he goes all the way! After completing the recording of a Schumann cycle combining works for piano and chamber music for the Alpha label, the pianist has just launched into another series just as imposing, with the chamber music of Gabriel Fauré. Suffice to say that he knows better than anyone the universe of these two composers, and he is eager to share these secrets with Lille audiences. To translate the passionate turmoil of Schumann’s Quartet opus 47 and the subtle undulations of Fauré’s harmonies, Le Sage brings with him a dream team made up of Daishin Kashimoto, solo violin for the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra since 2009; François Salque, pillar of the Ysaÿe Quartet for the last five years and worthy representative of French excellence on the cello; and the young Lise Berthaud, student of Gérard Caussé and one of our greatest young French talents, on viola.
