American-born Susan Buirge
developed an interest in Tibetan
culture. She then met someone
else equally fascinated by its
tradition. He just happens to have
been a key international figure in
contemporary music for the past
twenty years: the British composer
Jonathan Harvey. This encounter
gave them the idea of working on a
project where their writing and
respective artistic work echo the
culture of Tibet.

A production from the fondation royaumont - centre for choreographic research and composition and voix nouvelles, co-produced by apostrophe-scène nationale de cergy- pontoise, grame-centre national de création musicale de lyon and cirm-centre international de recherche musicale in nice. with the assistance of the french embassy in india and the british council in new delhi.
premiere on 9 and 10 march 2006 at the toboggan in décines, as part of the biennale musiques en scène.
susan buirge’s company is in residence at the fondation royaumont in the centre for choreographic research and composition which receives support from the ministry of culture and communication/drac ile-de-france, the conseil général du val d’oise and from the région ile-de-france.
