South African choreographer Robyn Orlin reveals in her work the difficult and complex reality of her country. Endlessly pushing the boundaries of performance, she integrates words, videos and visual art into her work with humour, extravagance and subversion. This production pays homage to the Zulu workers who turn into Swankas on Saturday nights, allowing themselves to be judged for their fashion sense and sophistication by a jury.
