With Israel Galván, flamenco dance enters the 21st century. The dancer from Seville does not just renovate the genre, he rebuilds its very foundations. His presentation of the Apocalypse of St. John and his liturgy leaves its imprint on all the violence of the world. A cutting profile in the extreme, of tauromatic flight, he dances “beyond risk” according to his own vision.
