The South African choreographer Robyn Orlin proposes a new creation in collaboration with the Compagnie Jant Bi, the École des Sables - Germaine Acogny from Senegal.
In Africa, the body is subjugated, subject to the violence of war, degraded and altered by hunger and disease, or, on the contrary, reduced to contradictory stereotypes. For the choreographer, it is urgent to reveal this ordeal, with a sharp and penetrating view that yet retains all the humour, poetry and fantasy for which she is known.
