As a preview to the evening devoted to three major works by the choreographer Trisha Brown at the Lille Opera, her company invites you on a rural outing with five to seven dancers, “In Plain Site”, at the centre of temporary exhibits proposed this autumn-winter in Lille and Tourcoing. Several performances, created in the years 1960-70 by the American choreographer, will be presented along with two exhibits: first at the MUba in Tourcoing, among the sculptures of the exhibit “Rodin, Brancusi, Carl Andre… Le socle” and the next day at the Tri Postal in Lille, within the exhibit “Performance!” offered in the context of the 40th anniversary of the Centre Pompidou with lille3000. An exceptional and surprising occasion to rediscover the work of Trisha Brown, one of the key figures of American modern dance, before diving into her grand repertoire!

The death of Trisha Brown on 18 March 2017 invites us to salute the career of a major figure in American dance and pay homage over four evenings with three musically inspired works that are representative of her creations from the first decade of the new millennium, along with revelatory performances of In Plain Site from the early years of her company.
