Cellist and viola da gambist, the soloist and chamber musician Atsushi Sakaï is known to fans of the Concert d’Astrée. To celebrate his 20 years of residency in France, he has prepared a surprising concert that is entirely Japanese. Revisiting his origins in his own manner, he mixes music from "bunraku" (puppet theatre) with more modern popular songs, the "enka", with the complicity of Maria Savastano, the Argentine singer who is the most Japanese at heart.
