"For me, Chile is a country of fantasy, one I know through the songs of my childhood, the yellowing photographs of aunts and cousins who remained there. I want to share this story that is mine and that of my parents, a story of heritage and filiation: a small story, writ large". Through popular music and Chilean song from the 1960s and ’70s, tenor Emiliano Gonzalez Toro (who we will find after the performances of Xerse in the Great Hall) takes us on a voyage through a country of dreams and desires, in the footsteps of a character named Armanda, young daughter of exiles who bears the name of a beautiful song by Victor Jara.
