CHAMBER MUSIC
Some musicians are like that: stars who capture attention right from the start, with invitations, encounters. At 22 years old, the Colombian cellist Jose David Sierra has already received awards and was even offered an instrument by the German embassy. His talent and natural flair impressed the pianist Alphonse Cemin, founding member of Le Balcon, who devised with him this Lille concert. On the programme: Rachmaninov’s fugue, the emotion of the infinite in the mirrors by Arvo Pärt, and the contemporary but melodious Colombia.
