ICTUS SOLOISTS

This trio concert reveals the charms of the modern accordion,  both a miniature organ and wind instrument that expresses like no other medium the interplay of inspiration and expiration that sculpts the musical phrase. Composers  Jose Sanchez-Verdù and Sofia Gubaidulina excel at bringing forth, with modern sonorities, this universal and timeless respiration. And with the “black minimalism ” of Klaus Lang, we will discover music of unique harmonic fibre, as one might imagine escaping from Ingmar Bergman’s Seventh Seal.
