The Jerusalem Trio are performing Haydn’s Trio no.39, famous for the brilliant gypsy colour in its Rondo, and Mendelssohn’s second trio which emphasises the musical rapport between the three performers. One of the ensembles favourite works follows: the intensely poignant Trio no.2 by Shostakovich.
