After directing Tamerlano at the Opéra de Lille in 2004, Emmanuelle Haïm will now be conducting Handel’s glittering Julius Caesar. Director David
McVicar, a tireless creator of imposing and intensely human productions, takes hold of these
powerful historic figures with vivacity and humour.
Premiered last summer at the prestigious Glyndebourne festival, this entertaining version of the opera is being brought to life by exceptional
singers, including Bejun Mehta as Caesar.
