In prelude to her arrival on the stage of the Lille Opera in January in Mozart’s Idomeneo, this concert marks the first appearance in France of the young soprano Rosa Feola, in a programme that leads us through collections of melodies by the great Italian lyric composers of the 19th century. With faultless technique that retains all the natural qualities of her voice, with a sure and frank presence devoid of any hint of mannerism, Rosa Feola has rapidly garnered international attention after the Plácido-Domingo Competition (Operalia) in 2010, and has since experienced a trajectory that leads her, next season, to debut at Wigmore Hall and Glyndebourne, with a stop along the way in Lille!
